**About the role**
Reporting to the Residential & Light Commercial NPI Supply Chain Leader, the position will be responsible for sourcing and procurement activities to support new product development and launch. This position will manage all aspects of the sourcing and procurement process to ensure a smooth transition of activity to the factory Purchasing and Materials teams. The position shall also develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships and implement sourcing strategies to continuously improve supply chain resiliency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of supply chain professionals that will manage tactical and strategic NPI sourcing tasks.
- Integrate global category strategies with program deliverables.
- Meet program cost targets and launch milestones.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to streamline NPI sourcing responsibilities.
- Project manage supplier activities in support of program milestones and production launch.
- Determine inventory stocking and logistics strategies for suppliers with lead times longer than market-driven customer lead time requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and formulate policies with suppliers.
- Prepare and process the request for quotations, requisitions, and purchase orders.

**Required Qualifications**
- BA/BS degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business
- 4+ years’ experience in supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or operations

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 2+ years’ experience building and leading teams.
- Technical knowledge/understandingof the Residential HVAC product industry or ability to learn expeditiously.
- Proven ability to succeed in the day-to-day management of competing priorities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Quantitative spreadsheet analysis of material cost and financial data
- Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, factory assembly processes, and bills of material.
- Highly energetic and success-driven
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to be persuasive and make management presentations.
- ** Computer Competency**
- Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access
- Power BI or similar data analytics
- PLM, preferably Windchill, is a benefit.
- ERP, SAP experience is a benefit, AS400 or CHESS by Xerox is a significant benefit.
- Executes key elements of Supply Chain plans in terms of operations, specific interventions, related costs and timelines, in line with organizational strategy.
- Manages implementation of systems and processes in support of Supply Chain strategy. Collaborates with cannel partners, including suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers, and customers.
- Gathers inputs on prices of different raw materials from primary and secondary sources. Supporst identification of opportunities for outsourcing and cost reduction.
- Implements guidelines on contract development.
- Guides others on adherence to import, export, and excise regulation as per compliance.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
- Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
- University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
