Are you a data science leader with a passion for innovation and a proven track record of building high-impact solutions? Konfío is seeking a talented and driven Head of Data Science to lead our dynamic team in developing cutting-edge AI and machine learning models that will transform our lending processes. **What you'll do**:

- Lead the charge: Spearhead the development and implementation of advanced predictive models to assess creditworthiness, predict borrower risk, and optimize lending decisions.
- Unleash the power of data: Dive deep into massive datasets to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and insights that will drive improvements in our lending operations.
- Drive innovation: Implement AI and machine learning solutions to streamline loan origination, automate decision-making, and enhance portfolio management.
- Build a world-class team: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 8 talented data scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Collaborate across the organization: Partner with IT, finance, and operations teams to seamlessly integrate data-driven solutions into existing systems and processes.

**What you'll need**:

- Strong academic foundation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Data science expertise: 8-10 years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of developing and deploying predictive models.
- Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams.
- Technical proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Python, SQL, R, and big data technologies.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for innovation: A drive to explore new technologies and push the boundaries of what's possible with data.
