Tax Intern

We are hiring a
**Tax Intern **who will be mainly involved in assisting the team with tax compliance tasks and some other non-compliance responsibilities as necessary.

**What you will be doing**:

- Support in the preparation and filing of the Company’s tax returns for income, sales and use, and excise taxes.
- Filing the Company’s annual reports and other informative returns.
- Monitoring of tax compliance management tools to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
- Assists with resolution of tax audits on specific issues as well as researching and accumulating documentation to support local country audits.
- Assist management with documentation, research and other requirements.
- Be involved in other tax support tasks, according to the request.

**Your future team**:
Steelcase’s Global Tax team is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA) and has a local tax team in Monterrey (Mexico) to support Americas region. The tax team is involved in managing compliance, transfer pricing, tax planning, income tax accounting, tax audits and other topics related to tax.

**Who you are**:
**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Currently in 7th semester of an Accounting/Finance bachelor’s degree or other related field.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- English level: intermediate/advanced.
- Availability to work from 7am to 4pm

**Preferred Skills and Competencies**
- Any SAP or another ERP knowledge
- Any experience in tax compliance and reporting
- Proactive
- Team player

- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Problem solving ability
- Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
