**WHAT IS YOUR ROLE**:
As an accounting associate, your responsibilities and duties include overseeing bookkeeping and accounting work associated with the company books. You will perform general bookkeeping duties, such as updating posts in the accounting software, reconciling accounts on a regular basis, recording all cash receipts, and distributing customer invoices to ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner. Payroll and final pay computation is also expected. You will function as part of the company’s finance team. Your main priority is to maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system. You are also expected to provide additional support to management during audits or other busy times.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO**:
Accounting
- Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
- Analyze financial data and ensure compliance
- Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Maintaining creditors database
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries
- Assisting in general financial management and analysis
- Assist on a variety of financial procedures, including
- Month-end and year-end closings
- Cash flow reports
- Monthly financial and management reports

Cash Management
- Manage cash balances of the MX bank account
- Compiling the weekly fund request need
- Review the monthly petty cash spends
- Loading online payments

Payroll
- Prepare semi-monthly payroll for regular, project-based, contractual employees
- Prepare and process government dues
- Prepare and process tax reports
- Prepare final pays
- End of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries
- Conduct internal audits against standards and maintain internal records
- Accomplish other necessary tasks
- Assist with attendance trackers, timekeeping
- Assist employee benefits and leaves
- Conduct employee meetings related to administrative concerns and issues, employee benefits, policy changes and others
- Facilitate queries or complaints concerning salaries and wages
- In addition, other clerical and administrative duties as required are to be expected._

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems)
- Understanding of tax regulations and compliance is preferred
- Knowledge in payroll recording
- Experience in handling and programming payments to vendors
