**What you will bring to the team**

As a Software Developer Intern for Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions you will play a key role in the evolution of the shopping experiences retailers offer and help shape the future of retail. We provide services to retail clients worldwide by developing and delivering an array of custom software solutions such as POS, self checkout, and mobility solutions. We seek proactive and skilled senior students or just graduated resources to work in a dynamic, collaborative and ever-changing environment.

**Naturally To be successful in this role, you must have and know of**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Electronic Engineering (Senior Students and Fresh degree holders are welcome to apply)
- English: Fluent
- Skilled in Software development
- Skilled in Object-oriented programming (C++ or Java)
- Skilled in C, Python
- Relational Database Experience (SQL)
- XML
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux/iOS Operating Systems
- Knowledge in unit testing, test automation, and build automation (Continuous Integration)
- Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life-cycle, especially agile methodology
- Posses good leadership, presentation and communication skills
- Actively presenting ideas for system/process improvements and actively participating in intellectual property disclosure submission
- Pro-actively involved in ad-hoc projects which arise from business opportunities internally or externally.
- Collaborate with other regions of TGCS such as Raleigh NC in U.S.A, Singapore, and Taiwan on project development and defects fixing
- Analytical/ problem solving skills
- Strong collaboration skills - Team player
- Requirement to work with people internationally

**Preferred skills**:

- Retail domain knowledge
- Service Oriented Architecture
- Knowledge on Windows API and IPC (e.g. thread synchronization, memory mapping).
- Knowledge of WindRiver Linux development environment
- Protocol knowledge (e.g. Serial, Network, Bluetooth)
- User Interface technology
- Java Swing / UIXML Schema design
- Java RMI, Java Management Extensions
- Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, Eclipse SDK, Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework
- General knowledge of computer architecture
- Test Automation tools and techniques
- Knowledge on Big Data and Analytics technologies
- Information Security Management (Cybersecurity)
- DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Git,)
