Welding Superintendent

**Position Purpose**
Manages the company's manufacturing process, new technology, automation, intellectual property, talent engineering resources, and design standards.

**Functions & Responsabilities**
- Advises the administration solving engineering problems and helps in production management using statistical and engineering techniques and tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, TQM, TPM, JIT, etc.
- Develops, negotiates and manages the objectives and budgets of his department, as well as the strategies and action plans to achieve objectives.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of subordinates to facilitate the implementation and operation of the company's systems engineering.
- Verify engineering designs in terms of compliance with the requirements of (l) thing (s) client (s) to the engineering principles and standards of the organization. Validates and authorizes the procedures (SOP) in the organization.
- Responsible for ECN (engineering change notice), document control database.
- Create/define and ensure the NPI process is followed for all implementations.
- Lead initiatives to create, update, or maintain product research, development, and engineering standards.
- Working with other departments to select welding processes (TIG & MIG) and procedures which minimize or reduce welding costs, increase productivity and quality and meet or exceed customer needs and expectations

**Education and Experience**
- 10 years of experience in engineering, product development. Minimum 5 years managing people and teams in successful engineering, research or project development projects.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or engineering discipline
- Lean manufacturing certification (desired)
- Advanced English (Spoken-Written)

**Knowledge, Aptitudes & Skills**
- Ensure high levels of fabrication and welding (TIG & MIG) to appropriate GMAW standards
- Experience with Steel, aluminum and/or stainless Steel and CNC press brakes, CNC folding machines
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others. Provide leadership, guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and achieve overall business goals.
