- This position shall wok on architecting, designing, and developing new and existing embedded software controls for John Deere engines product family.
- Good understanding on Embedded Software Technology and Strong Software Development Skills.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological changes and guide the team with technical knowledge of combustion the cycle and related systems.
- Well conversant with software analysis, design, debugging, and using hardware for integration and verification.
- Lead a Project team and drive project execution, within acceptable cost, quality, and schedule
- Understand product requirements, prepare concepts/proposals, define execution plan, align stakeholders on delivery schedules
- Creates, analyzes technical requirements to determine the best technical solution for complex problems or projects of difficult scope
- Facilitates communication with stakeholders for roadblocks and ensure quality deliverables from the team, perform design / code reviews, develop plans on test strategy
- Ensure quality deliverables from the team, perform design / code reviews, develop plans on test strategy
- Keeps management aware about project progress and potential risks in advance to ensure execution of necessary actions
- Plays an active role in talent development of the team with focused mentoring of team members
**What Skills You Need**:
- 5+ year of excellent experience in C software development for embedded systems.
- Deep knowledge & experience in below areas:
- C for embedded development
- Unit testing frameworks
- Model Based Software Design & Simulation (MBSD)
- Code compilation process
- Auto Code Generation
- Python or other scripting language
- Good understanding on Embedded Software Technology and Software Development Skills.
- Strong communication skills for conflict resolution, meetings, reporting, etc.
- Strong commitment on delivery/ Customer oriented.
- Strong English skills, excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to guide and direct work to other members in the team
- Comfortable working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, across multiple time zones
**What Makes You Stand Out**:
- Experience with Embedded Communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C
- Good understanding of control systems theory simulation and implementation.
- Experience working with analog/digital electronics.
- Experience with Software Real-Time Operating Systems.
- Demonstrated high critical analysis skills to overcome team´s roadblocks.
**Education (or equivalent experience)**:
