Support Design Engineering areas on creating and/or modifying automotive parts’ 3D/2D drawings by operating CAD software. Activity is conducted while following Nissan’s global standards for parts and vehicle design and development.
Support Nissan’s Design and Manufacturing Engineering areas in PDM system related tasks.
**Main responsibilities**:
Creates and/or modifies automotive parts 3D/2D drawing based on Design Engineer specific request. Activity includes creating entirely new parts starting from styling surfaces and proffers parts design proposal with additional information such as typical sections provided by Design Engineer.
Prepares studies for analyzing vehicles’ systems lay-out which support Design Engineers on making decisions for production parts’ design intent. Activity includes interference/clearance check and routes creation for wiring and tubing.
Based on vehicle’s parts/systems design/structure knowledge, performs digital assembly lots in order to confirm potential interference issues and reports them to responsible Design Engineering areas for them to find a countermeasure prior to off-tool parts production.
Conducts Finite Element Analysis (FEA) which provides Design Engineer with structural reference data that lead to make the best decision in terms of part’s design intent.
Puts together mechanisms studies which represent an aid for Design Engineers when deciding on parts design intent for moveable parts, which in addition must meet requirements stated in Nissan’s design standards.
Based on department’s function objectives, sets up milestones for gauging progress and proposes actions aimed at recovering when there it is shown deviation from expected performance.
Masters standards for 3D drawings and design release package creation while identifying improvement points that must lead to activity’s efficiency improvement.
Provides with support to PDM system local users in any issues they may have in their daily job while using the tool. Raises any problem that may not be fixed locally to global help desk or next level of support according to defined service level agreement. Follows thorough until issue fix completion.
Responsible for promoting CAD data integrity between different PDM systems, Locations and Nissan’s suppliers.
Responsible for supporting CAD Data Exchange among Nissan’s global locations and Suppliers while enforcing applicable policies in order to avoid improper third-party intellectual property disclosure.
Provides with PDM system training to local Nissan’s departments who request it and involves in training material creation or revision.
Identifies new processes related to either PDM system or any CAD operations activity and develops required operation manuals. Responsible for revising existing manuals when judged needed.
Responsible for PDM user IDs administration and controls permission of access to data classified as confidential. All for all local staff.
Identifies efficiency improvement opportunities in any department’s internal processes, develops and promotes its use within CAD operations team.
High sense of frugality in terms of time and cost for executing led activities.
**Education**:
Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
**Previous work experience**:
At least 2 years modeling parts for automotive industry
**Required knowledge**:
Knowledgeable on Automotive part’s design, development and related processes (e.g. manufacturing, quality management)
Knowledgeable on PLM systems.
**Language**:
English (750Pts. TOEIC or alike)
**Computer skills**:
Good command on modeling 3D data and creating reference 2D drawings by using Siemens’ CAD software platform: NX.
Basic knowledge on Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Project.
**Competences**:
It is required skills for influencing on third parties so engagement for finding best design condition is achieved.
Skillful on problem solving tools and decision-making process so that breakthrough initiatives are not just promoted and shared but continuously created.
Manageable on job breakdown (project planning) preparation and control.
Highly proactive on proposing best solutions to problems or issues that come up during activity’s execution.
