What does KLAR do?

Klar is a Mexican fintech startup whose mission is to democratize and revolutionize the way in which financial services have been delivered so far in Mexico, especially since half of the population doesn’t have a bank account. We have served more than 2 million users since our launch in 2019

We offer a rich set of products today across our debit and credit offers. We have an exciting and ambitious roadmap to bring more capabilities to our product so that we can better serve our users.

Life at Klar

We have a very international team with more than 30 nationalities working from Mexico City, Berlin, and remotely. Our founder Stefan Moller is also half German and Mexican, which allowed Klar to think globally since its inception.

This position is available onsite in our Mexico office or remotely within a similar time zone.

Your daily adventures will be
- Deliver code in an agile software development
- Participate in development life cycle activities such as design, coding, testing and production releases
- Design UI mockups and prototypes
- Work closely and communicate constantly with product, design, analytics and dependencies
- Balancing long-term velocity with short-term customer needs
- Collaborating with other teams to deliver best in class product
- Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development
- Help back-end developers with troubleshooting

What you bring to the table
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to understand and analyze business and tech requirements
- Ability to perform assigned tasks in a quality manner
- Ability to design UI using UI design tools (e.g. Figma)
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Design
- Exposure to DevOps scripts

**Nice to have**:

- Knowledge of the basics of OOP, Microservice architecture and observability (metrics exposure)
- Experience and/or basic knowledge in UI/graphics design
- Web apps deployment/devops
- Knowledge of other programming languages
- Basic knowledge of financial business flows
- Analytical and multitasking skills
