We are looking for a **Installation Superintendent **for **Mexico City **.
As our Installation Superintendent you will be responsible for safe, high quality and efficient installation of the KONE solution, according to the agreed / contracted scope, schedule and budget. You will ensure proper planning of site activities and preparation of site readiness. You´ll be in charge of installation activities, management and support the installation team, verify the installation deliverables and ensure readiness for customer and maintenance handovers. You will act as the KONE interface to the customer at the installation site and to other parties throughout the installation process. You will also support the sales team and the technical sales support team in pre-tender, tender and order activities when needed / requested.
**Some of the main functions are**:
- Accountable for safety, quality and productivity during installation and handovers, and for corrective actions to any detected non-conformities.
- Accountable for the use of correct KONE installation methods, and for proper risk assessment for parts of installation where KONE method is not available.
- Responsible for site preparations, site readiness, site visits and audits, including resolution of site readiness non-conformities with customer (supported by Project Manager as needed).
- Responsible for verifying the site execution plan and financial forecast as part of the pre-delivery review.
- Responsible for the verification of site readiness and payment status according to contract terms (supported by Project Admin).
- Responsible for planning of installation activities, site storage, logistics, material delivery to site confirmation and needed resources and tools.
- Accountable for performing installation handover to and from installers and subcontractors, managing installation progress, final testing of the equipment and handover to maintenance.
- Responsible for quality claims/feedbacks, time sheet approvals, installation documentation, reporting of installation progress, status, cost accumulation and risks, and managing schedule and other changes.
- Responsible for management of environmental aspects of the installation (waste and hazardous material handling)
**Customer Relationship management**:
- Acts as a single point of contact towards the customer during installation regarding site management, with pro-active communication and usage of related tools.
- Accountable for customer satisfaction on installation process and quality of installation.
**Subcontractor relations and people leadership**:
- Responsible for verifying that installers are trained, certified, competent and capable of performing each installation task.
- Accountable for site operatives’ motivation and wellbeing.
- Responsible for site planning, communication, objective setting and progress monitoring.
- Responsible for managing the performance of the team and individuals.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a proactive and professional relationship with employees and subcontractors.
- May coach and develop Installation Supervisors.
**What do we require?**
- Over 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related.
- Familiarity with electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems as applied in industry transportation and/or conveyance systems.
- Good leadership, supervisory, organizational, written, verbal communication and customer skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings, layouts and electrical, hydraulic schematics.
