RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong Analytical skills of data from a variety of internal and external sources to deliver the best value to Ford
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies
- Manage supplier price change requests, resourcing actions, market tests and lead cost reduction projects
- Maintain supplier active pricing in purchasing files
- Lead supplier commercial negotiations and resolve issues affecting part supply, including distressed supplier situations
- Insure suppliers adherence to Ford Global Terms and Conditions
- Insure timely responses to all quality issues and processing of SREA’s and Alerts, when applicable
- Meet deadlines for all buyer requests. Examples are Q1 updates, payment terms evaluations, etc.
- Manage timely resolution of part sourcing and pricing issues
- Quote and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of service parts, tooling and services
- Assist in resolution of cost, quality and delivery issues affecting supply
- Work with other Buyers in both Service and Production to develop strategies and implement solutions

QUALIFICATIONS
- English proficiency (written and verbal)
- BA / BS Degree is preferred - MBA a plus
- Previous Purchasing experience preferred
- SAP S/4 Hana knowledge preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficient in using Word and Excel; Access skills a plus
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams
- Comfortable dealing in internal and external conflicts
- Project management skills and process discipline
