RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications, and user stories.
- Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify areas for process optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement within the corrections industry.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors, to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking and self-drive in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies within the corrections sector to inform strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business System Analyst in addition preferably within the corrections industry or software development sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
- Expertise in producing documentation for client review and sign-off / acknowledgement.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data.
- Proficiency in business analysis and project management tools such as Confluence, JIRA and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is highly desirable.
