**Supply Chain Manager / Logistics**

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations and activities of logistics personnel within the Juarez production facility to ensure the completion of logistics initiatives and related projects.
- Oversee the forecasting, scheduling, sales, operations, and customer service activities/processes within the logistics department to guarantee that information is accurate and make recommendations pertinent to production requirements, such as staffing/overtime, in addition to expediting/re-scheduling decisions.
- Evaluate plant logistics operations, review work of personnel, track costs/budget, enforce company policy, complete performance reviews, make staffing and disciplinary recommendations, initiate and/or recommend Changes-In-Status, and resolve issues with day-to-day operations and/or customers as required.
- Guide, develop and motivate employees, champion individual and team efforts, and aid in the development of professionals and production staff to achieve individual leadership and company objectives.
- Provide technical, organizational, and team leadership for logistics operations and related activities.
- Identify tools/equipment needs and organizational skill requirements, assess gaps in key skill areas and testing capacity, implement activities to close the gaps and strengthen plant logistics efficiency, and provide input and recommendations to plant management as required.
- Identify trends in demand and supply; define areas of concern in meeting the master schedule from a raw material and/or production standpoint and provide a corrective action plan as necessary.
- Manage the planning and supply of components through the MRP system; schedule/coordinate the production of assemblies, and ensure the optimized utilization of materials and the availability of finished goods to meet customer orders.
- Resolve problems caused by part shortages due incomplete, late or lost shipments and/or non-conforming material; communicate material status, stockout consequences and actions taken to solve the lack of materials.
- Develop and implement plans to improve delivery performance, cut manufacturing and purchasing lead times and establish actions to optimize inventory planning.
- Administer MRO purchasing activities to support plant operations.
- Organize and lead physical inventories; analyze and report inventory results and findings.
- Review major inventory variances to establish corrective/preventive actions and expedite materials if inventory discrepancies cause stockouts affecting production plans.
- Develop and maintain KanBan card system to control inventory by overriding the MRP system and to signal the start of production, material issuing and/or material purchasing.
- Manage cycle count process in the plant and El Paso distribution center; audit, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and cycle count errors.
- Provide adequate inventory control to all parts, taking additional security measures to expensive or attractive materials; review and update materials flow (logically and physically) for improvements, backlog and solutions to material handling and inventory challenges.
- Oversee all transactions from incoming to finished goods shipments to assure inventory accuracy and timeliness of materials received, stored, produced and shipped.
- Maintain a safe, productive work environment for the employees satisfying ZF quality standards and policy.
- Lead continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies
- Ensure compliance with the ZF Quality Management System requirements (ZF QMS) which includes IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelors - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Technical degree (Masters Preferred)
- 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in the automot
