The Accounts Payable Lead reports to the Accounts Payable Manager (located in the U.S.) and provides support in functions related to Accounts Payable and travel and expense processing. The major responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
**Expected AP Responsibilities**:

- Monitor the invoice approval system (Concur) and ensure invoices are submitted and approved timely. Assist in processing invoices as needed (ie. assigning invoices to submitters, submitting invoices, logging into websites, downloading invoices and sending to Concur)
- Perform the final AP review of invoices and post to the AP Subledger
- Research and resolve system integration errors.
- Review the AP Aging and research and resolve aged invoices and credits.
- Prepare the payment runs including preparing electronic payment files and generating checks.
- Research and resolve daily payment exceptions (ie. Positive Pay and ACH exceptions/rejections).
- Review and post reclass transactions.
- Prepare and maintain Recurring Payment Requests
- Reconcile vendor statements to the AP Aging as needed
- Prepare AP month end, metric, and ad hoc reports.
- Reply to and resolve issues assigned in the AP Case Management system.
- Perform AdHoc Tasks/Projects as needed.
- Prepare and maintain desktop procedures for assigned tasks.
- Identify issues and propose solutions (process improvements)

**Expected Leadership Responsibilities**:

- Act as the liaison between the Mexico AP Shared Service Team and the U.S. and Mexico management teams by communicating information among the three groups.
- Foster/develop the local Mexico AP Shared Service “Team” culture.
- Provide local/level 1 detailed guidance and support to the Mexico AP Shared Service Team (ie. train new members, office tour/procedures)
- Assist/backfill for the AP Manager as needed (ie. during time zone differences, PTO etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, from an accredited college.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Strong written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management inside and outside the organization.
- Motivated, responsive self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of assigned tasks driving to completion.
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to details
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with Concur and/or Salesforce a plus

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per month
