**Your new role**

The Showbiz Producer for CNN en Español is responsible for conceptualizing and creating unique multi-platform content that stands alone or lives within the content of a full-on show and all other platforms. This person must be able to understand the multi-dimensional efforts needed to create a great entertainment content which will include writing, use of graphics creation on Viz Pilot, efforting and researching guests or experts, editing powerful packages and using complementary materials to enhance a show with use of new media elements, social media links, and creation of polls or contests.

The Producer for Showbiz will be in charge of following the entertainment beat and communicating the top entertainment stories, events, shows, industry award, and red carpet shows to the network on a daily basis in order to provide editorially strong content for all platforms and CNNE’s affiliates. This person will be in charge of keeping a global entertainment calendar a year in advance as well as updating all events throughout the year plus developing coverage and content strategies accordingly including all the award shows.

This person is multi-platform innovative and understands the importance of follow up and continuing packages in the long-term planning of multi-platform entertainment content.

**Your role accountabilities**
- Line producing special segments from the control room, as needed and work with Newsgathering and Multi-platform for content selection and production;
- Produce compelling and engaging multiplatform content.
- Work with various content providers in the network as well as with digital, social media and program planners, to develop concepts for current shows and will execute them in a 360-degree cross-platform production manner;
- Create a full segment for digital, a show’s rundown or produce multiple specials for digital and/or television;
- Provide the necessary adapted elements ready/cleared to be used by the different network platforms;
- Collaborate with graphic artists, editorial, digital and production teams and take the lead on entertainment breaking news;
- Generate, pitch and execute original reporting and story ideas are also a responsibility of this position.
- Producing and writing entertainment content for digital and social media.

**Qualities & Experience**
- Production experience in the television and entertainment news industry;
- Fluent English;
- Deep understanding of digital and social media strategies and audiences;
- Prior experience with magazine, entertainment and lifestyle content required; Talk and guest oriented format experience required;
- Strong tape producing and writing skills;
- Experience with constructing finely crafted content as well as catchy headlines - either packages or interviews and leading entertainment breaking news;
- Knowledge of programs such as but not limited to CMS to upload content to web;
- Ability to edit scripts, write, and edit tape material.

**Nice to have**
- Multi-platform content production;
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Avid and Final Cut Pro, iNews, and Mediasource a plus.
