**Position Overview**

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing construction plans, breaking them down into electrical sub-packages, and preparing accurate cost estimates.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing design data from databases and/or existing designs
- Modifying sections of drawings and ensuring compliance with city standards to ensure project accuracy and alignment with local regulations.
- Identifying labor, material, and time requirements based on drawings and the client’s proposal to develop comprehensive project estimates.
- Collating material prices and lists of suppliers and rates
- Analyzing construction plans and customer additions for subsequent system documentation
- Reviewing and understanding narratives, plans, and specifications to ensure alignment between pricing and the scope of work, and document these in the system
- Breaking down plans into the various electrical sub-packages
- Calculating the cost of electrical construction by reviewing and evaluating available documents
- Analyzing projects for value engineering options while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and materials to be purchased and installed
- Leading the electrical portion of estimates and ensuring that scopes are coordinated and completed in the system
- Developing conceptual estimates based on limited information at all phases of the project design progression
- Participating in the development and reviewing of design alternatives, cost options, and value engineering
- Managing unit and development cost estimations and help determine affordable and reliable material sources
- Executing system design calculations to ascertain equipment specifications
- Periodically reviewing and updating materials and cost databases to ensure these reflect changing material or labor costs
- Updating pricing based on customer selections and complete billing preparation
- Requesting material and equipment quotes from vendors while maintaining a positive relationship with them
- Developing and managing the electrical pricing bid strategy, breakouts, and work packages
- Explaining electrical pricing and costs to clients and engineers

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with construction materials and their associated costs preferred
- Highly detail-oriented and well-organized required
- Self-starter with the ability to work independ

Pay: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per month
