**Title**: Staff Engg - Competency Incubation
**Primary Location**: Mexico (MX) - Nuevo León JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey
**Function**: Engineering (CA)

**Major Purpose**:
Provides Technology Innovation Leadership at ETEC Mexico and recognized as an expert across a division in an advanced competency relevant to ETEC Functions. Some of the potential competency areas are: product engineering - design, VDV, embedded software, data science, and electrification.

**Major Duties**:

- Leads in the solution of division-wide complex problems or projects by identifying and organizing necessary resources. Acts as technical advisor.
- Provides technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
- Develops analysis plan and conducts complex analysis.
- Leads in resolution of difficult technical issues across a division whether within the company or with outside suppliers.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of industry and technical innovations in the technical discipline.
- Provides Community of Practice (COP) leadership that fosters the development and adaptation of common engineering processes and tools to improve and leverage the individual and organizational performance of the engineering function.
- May develop, track and meet capital and expense budget for their responsibility.
- Creates and drives a capability development project portfolio by working with all the functions at ETEC.
- Drive innovation culture and related events
- Leads University relationship at ETEC Mexico

**Skills, Abilities, Knowledge**:
Technical skill and knowledge in a specialized area of engineering, e.g., design, analysis, test, evaluation, etc.
Skill in using company information systems and processes.
Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge.
Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product
Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignment and Company division/unit. Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by competitors.
Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Technology Development process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).
