About CIU

About The Position

The Technical Customer Service position is an information technology professional who monitors CIU's computer systems, supports students with their IT issues, assesses and troubleshoots errors, and upgrades systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Automating old manual processes / innovating new departmental ideas.
- Regularly evaluates our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
- Maintenance of WordPress: backups, plugin, and version upgrades.
- Ensures data storage is safe and secure.
- Resolves all issues coworkers have with their IT systems and software.
- Educates coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
- Supports the day-to-day operations of our computer network.
- Maintain and monitor the CIU support center and answer support ticket requests from local users and students.
- Other activities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

**Requirements**:

- You must be fluent in English.
- You have the high technical ability and are able to adapt quickly to use new technologies and software.
- You have experience working as an IT Administrator.
- You have experience in customer service and enjoy helping others.
- You believe in your skills and you challenge the status quo - you are willing to automate old processes or find better solutions.
- You thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
- Remote work experience preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $15,000.00 - $25,000.00 per month
