Commodity Lead

Responsible for leading the development, deployment, and refinement of procurement strategies and process improvements and solutions that will deliver margin improvement and top-line growth.
Success in the Commodity Lead role will be measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that drive best cost, sustainable strategies for sourcing and managing assigned commodities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- College Diploma/Degree in Business or similar field
- Minimum of 7 years strategic buying experience in a manufacturing environment
- Microsoft Office knowledge (with emphasis on Excel Spreadsheets).
- Experience in automotive and manufacturing sector
- Comprehensive understanding of Mold and tooling construction materials such as Steel, Aluminum, and machined parts
- Capable of leading global negotiations for high value contracts
- Strong knowledge of the key aspects of the RFI/RFQ sourcing process
- Ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures
- Ability to understand and develop legal contracts
- Results driven, self
- starter, problem solver with proven ability to drive projects
- Flexibility to travel on short notice
- Experience with and ERP systems and methodology
