Job Summary

- Reporting to the IT Director, Automation Engineer role involves_
- augment the operation team by executing tasks often manually, and instead use software and automation to solve problems and manage production systems. We are looking forward for an automation engineer to create scalable and highly reliable infrastructure systems._

What a typical day looks like:

- _ Liaise with functional managers to understand their current and future information needs and determine how automations should be configured, released and maintained._
- _ Plan, prioritize, and report accurately automation activities by following different methodologies: waterfall, agile, etc._
- _ Define, design, implement and support automation solutions._
- _ Implement adequate automations tools and processes. Ensure monitoring and controls are in place to ensure stability._
- _ Propose automations enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the platform._
- _ Follow defined objectives to determine success of automations that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect._

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- _ BA/BS or equivalent work experience_
- _ Development skills with at least one of the following programming languages: Go, Python (preferred), Node.js, Bash_
- _ Experience with Agile Methodology_
- _ Knowledge in CI/CD automation and configuration management using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and GitLab._
- _ Knowledge of testing automation and code scanning tools to facilitate self-service test integration, test coverage and quality._
- _ Knowledge on building _Infrastructure-as-code_ for Public Cloud using terraform._
- _ Experience with large production systems and technologies, for example: load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems, and configuration management._
- _ Familiarity with running distributed systems in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP._
