Danone Mexico with the new context and global needs has a new R&I Organization unified as a ONE DANONE to take care of the Water, Dairy and Plant Based portfolio. One of the strategic areas to fuel the growth of the company is related to cost efficiency, where a new Team has been put in place named PROFIT CENTER.

Within the Profit Center we focus on creating value through formula and packaging reformulations and redesign to be more competitive and deliver profitability to the whole materials part of the P&L. Also we believe in new ways of working and models to add more on re balancing the attributes valued by consumers using Design To Value and Design Thinking methodologies to challenge current base of specifications and product offer.

The Profit Center Team is looking for a SENIOR PACKAGING MANAGER to broadly lead and manage

- Portfolio Productivity Create and animate high added value and complex projects by preparing and managing concepts in line with consumer needs, the business strategy and the operational set up, to deliver on time, on cost and on quality solutions.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance full compliance with the company policies and national/international regulations
- Supplier Development be front line with extreme ownership in the selection, assessment and development of new suppliers/converters through technical know-how and experience
- Networking Regular contact with colleagues with special focus on Packaging internal or external networks and suppliers to expand & develop technical competences and ways of improving solutions
- Design to Superior Value embed and own the DTsV way of working to continue transforming the base of productivity projects for the company within the Profit Center Team
- OPOH Packaging steer and guide the packaging solutions that enables packaging circularity targets, keeping profitability and business continuity as main driver
- Innovation Degree Deliver complex innovative solutions/technologies with high level of expertise in Packaging that add value to the organization in relation with Cost Optimization
- Strategic Input own, steer, guide and promote the Packaging and Formulation Strategy to capitalize the R&I technology know how and master plan supporting company profitability
- Business Contribution be the strategic partner reference for stakeholder management to senior level to prioritize, steer and implement complex programs or initiatives in line with business profitability needs
- Management Complexity Improve processes, management of resources to increase efficiency
- Networking & Animation Complexity Maintain and increase networking in materials, ingredients, processes and technologies scope and transversal teams to foster projects and company goals

About you

Academic background Graduate studies in Engineering (Food, Chemistry, Mechanics or equivalent)
- Minimum previous working experience 14 years
- High Level Experience in Packaging development (must), product development and operations at factory level and at international basis (plus), experience in stakeholder management and creation of bonds between transversal teams

- Expertise in different packaging materials and convertion processes, capable of challenging technologies to transform and adapt towards consumer and company goals
- Cup Technologies (FFS, Thermoforming, Injection Molding, Compression forming)
- Bottles materials and technologies (PET, HDPE, blowing systems ISBM, EBM)
- Caps and closures
- Packing systems (shrink film, corrugated, etc)
- ETC..
- Very High Level of expertise in Financial KPI´s to build own business cases (costing, P&L, transition of COGS to improve profitability, Top Line KPI´s)
- English proficiency (fluent speaking, writing & reading skills)
- Stage/gate process
- Flexibility to travel to other sites or Head Office (20 to 30% traveling)
- Change management

Soft Skills Required
- Excellent communication skills

1.1. Technically capable to influence industrial and engineering stakeholders with hard technical data and technical credibility

1.2. Financial mastering to be able to translate technically feasible projects into business case and influence top line and CODI stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Commercial)

1.3. Verbal discipline to present at different stakeholder at local and international level, able to adapt message to the audience in presentation and in speech
