**_ What is the opportunity_**

AstraZeneca is looking to identify and recruit top talent who are committed to living our values - following the science, putting patients first, and doing the right thing. Individuals with demonstrated commercial success (marketing, sales, and market access/policy development), global and local launch experience, and vaccines/infectious disease backgrounds will be the foundation of our capability builds. Additional required experience includes knowledge across a broad base of external customers and stakeholders, effective cross-functional project team leadership, and generating commitment among stakeholders and deliver effective commercial strategies.

**As a Medical Manager you will be responsible for**:

- Provide strategic and scientific support to the sales team ensuring the Field Medical Liaison team provides a timely and cost efficient service.
- Potentially supervise clinical trials and/or patient safety activities regionally.
- Ensure that all work is aligned with AstraZeneca standards and industry regulations.
- Handle relationships with healthcare professionals, sales professionals and other partners to develop a better understanding of their information needs and respond accordingly.
- Represent the field medical liaisons team at external events.
- Provide statistical, medical and scientific consultancy to support key meetings with internal and external partners.
- Coordinate and deliver education workshops with the community locally and medical groups as required.

**Experience & Expertise required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine.
- Detailed knowledge or experience within the pharmaceutical industry and the area of medical liaisons.
