This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

HPE's Legal division applies legal knowledge to complex business transactions. **_ How you'll make your mark:_**
- Negotiate and facilitate structuring and closure of a broad variety of standard through complex commercial financing agreements and IT asset management services agreements (such as master services agreements, statements of work, or sale and purchase agreements) with customers.
- Analyze business, financial, and legal risks and develop and communicate creative solutions and mitigation strategies for key negotiation points
- Act as key advisor to business leaders and make strategic decisions as part of the end-to-end teams in the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Drive and support the full contracting process by analyzing business, financial, and legal risks, including developing and communicating creative solutions and mitigation strategies for key negotiation points with business clients and customers, and drafting and negotiating appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of company.
- Implement the company's business and legal strategy to focus on high value activities.
- Oversee regulatory and compliance matters that impact the company, identify legal and compliance risks, establish and maintain a compliance framework for all entities across Latin America, and work collaboratively with local stakeholders to maintain adequate corporate governance of local entities (including approval of financial statements and renewal of licenses and registrations).
- Improve processes, update templates, review governance and generally ensure that HPEFS’s contracting and governance approach is always ahead of the market.
- Build strong relationships and networks with a variety of senior managers including the company's legal colleagues, senior business owners, sales leaders and senior customers to facilitate effective escalations and efficient deal closures.

**_ About you:_**
- A LLB degree (law degree) and applicable license to practice law in the country of residence.
- At least 3-5 years of direct negotiation of complex commercial agreements, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience at a law firm or legal department.
- Experience in commercial lending and/or equipment finance and/or data privacy law strongly preferred.
