**CSIS Lead Investigator Ethics**

As a member of Citi Security & Investigative Services’ (CSIS), the Lead Investigator will be responsible for the investigation of ethics concerns managed through Citi’s Ethics Office to identify behaviors that constitute potential violations of law, regulation, Citi Policy or the Code of Conduct.

Principal Duties include:

- Investigate case referrals related to fraud and internal employee wrongdoing.
- Coordinate with different teams within CSIS and the wider organization to gather relevant information to support investigative tasks.
- Identify and liaise with departments and individuals at all levels of the organization who are relevant to an investigation.
- Conduct investigative interviews with key actors identified as relevant to an investigation.
- Conduct detailed and timely reviews of material such as databases and electronic communications.
- Brief managers and internal stakeholders (principally Compliance, HR and Legal) on case developments on a regular basis.
- Document investigations methodologies and outcomes in the form of comprehensive and well-structured reports (in both Spanish and English).
- Ensure proper adherence to investigative standards, case aging protocols and report writing.
- Provide quick, accurate, and formulated case decisions that will reduce losses, protect Citi’s customers and safeguard the integrity of Citi’s products and reputation.
- Build internal relationships with peers in the risk and control functions and with the different business groups that CSIS supports.
- Mentor and train junior staff members

**Studies**:

- Undergraduate degree; master’s degree will be a plus.

**Experience**:

- Investigative experience in the financial, legal, law enforcement or consulting sectors.

**Preferred experience**
- Demonstrated proficiency conducting interviews as a critical component of an investigation.
- Knowledge of financial products, frauds and trends
- Professional Certification in area of expertise. Certified Fraud examiner (CFE) or other relevant certifications.
- 5 years of investigative experience in a corporate environment /financial institution.

**Skills and knowledge**:

- Ability to multi-task, work under strict deadlines and manage a diverse and complex caseload with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Strong analytical thinking.
- Close attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of forensic procedures to include the collection, examination, and analysis of data while preserving integrity and maintaining a strict chain of custody.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for compiling written reports and spreadsheets on an investigation.
- Ability to effectively manage and update a range of case management systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to confidently liaise and engage with all levels of the organization.
- Fluent Spanish and advanced level English.
