Team Overview:
You will become part of the Government Affairs team in Latin America reporting to the Head of GA Mexico, you will be providing strategic inputs and executing advocacy efforts with stakeholders to protect and expand DiDi’s operations, from a data-driven and collaborative approach. Monitor and analyze political and regulatory landscape to timely identify risks and opportunities. good communication and negotiations skills are required.

As the Government Affairs Manager for DiDi in Mexico, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance the company's relationship with government officials and regulators at all levels. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations while advocating for favorable policies that support DiDi’s business operations and growth.

Role Responsibilities:
**Your Responsibilities**
- Regulatory Analysis: Monitoring and analyze relevant legislation, regulations, and government policies that may impact DiDi's operations in Mexico.
- Contributing to the expansion plan of the company, at country and regional levels.
- Liaising with the government and other stakeholders, in the pursuit for innovative transportation and mobility solutions from a win-win perspective.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other key stakeholders to advocate for DiDi’s interests.
- Strategic Advocacy: Developing and implement government relations strategies that align with DiDi's objectives, advocating for policies that promote innovation and fair competition in the mobility sector.
- Developing and execute both high-level and grassroots engagement strategies, under strong integrity and teamwork values.
- Compliance Oversight: Collaborating with legal and compliance teams to ensure all business practices meet local regulations and standards.
- Establishing DiDi's brand and profile with key stakeholders in high-level decision making, including governments, companies, scholars and specialists.
- Policy Development: Providing insights and recommendations to the management team regarding public policy strategies, including preparing briefing materials and reports.
- Monitoring, analyzing and preventing risks of the regulatory framework in the country, with the aim of advocating for the best practices on digital platform regulations and policies for ride-sharing, delivery, fintech and other related topics.
- Public Affairs Campaigns: Leading initiatives to engage the public and raise awareness of DiDi’s contributions to the local economy and community.
- Developing and execute stakeholder mappings, engagement plans and advocacy strategies.
- Event Coordination: Organizing and participate in meetings, events, and forums to promote DiDi’s interests and initiatives with governmental representatives.
- Crisis Management: Assisting in developing strategies to address any political or public relations issues affecting DiDi’s operations.
- Generating and coordinating special topic agendas at the state and federal levels, with a focus on generating social impact.
- Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other departments, including marketing, operations, and legal, to ensure a cohesive approach to government relations.
- Liaising with business chambers and other stakeholders to boost the company’s influence, presence and networks.
- Reporting to the Head of GA SSL and business leaders on local policies and regulatory developments or updates.

Role Qualifications:
- A passion for technology and improving mobility in the country..
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Economy, international relations, law, or business-related degree.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in public affairs in private or public sectors or NGO’s. Government background is a plus.
- Solid experience in engaging high-level government, policy, business, and industr
