Traffic Generalist

Responsible to document and track all shipments (inbound and outbound), resolve possible disruptions during transportation process, costs involved in the freight and provide adequate customer service to requestors. Provides information & resolves topics related to assigned accounts. Supports on general logistics projects. The traffic generalist should be able to switch between shifts upon request.

Reports directly to Traffic Coordinator.
- Documentation & follow up until closure of all shipments (air, sea, overland, cross border in the Transportation Management Application.
- Daily tracking of all shipments in transit from the pickup request until the delivery at warehouse
- Primary contact for internal and external parties to support on transportation topics.
- Support on analysis and reporting of the transportation budget and forecast (Business Plan, Current Forecast, monthly cost reports, Istar)
- Ensures transportation processes are followed up by requestors.
- Supports regular transportation reporting generation & maintenance.
- Identifies, develop, lead, implement and follow up improvement and/or cost savings/avoidance projects in logistics
- Supports implementation of automation of traffic processes together with support departments and/or develops the concept directly in automation tools
- Usage of external tools to support daily transportation operations (Cargobase, CASS, etc)
- Supports generation and updating of general work instructions.
- Support in the creation of new routes or change in mode of transportation

- General transportation processes knowledge - Intermediate
- Customs processes Knowledge -Basic
- C-TPAT and OEA knowledge - Basic
- Warehouse processes knowledge - Basic
- SAP Logistics transactions knowledge - Basic
- Finished Goods and/or raw material planning processes knowledge - Preferred
- Budget & forecast development and tracking knowledge/skills - Basic
- General invoicing concepts knowledge - Basic
- Microsoft office skills - Intermediate
- Disposition to work in Juarez Area 95% and visit to ELP Warehouse 5%
