The Prod Ctrl Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team.The overall objective of this role is to drive efforts to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L and balance sheet reporting.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage, lead and direct a team of professionals
- Ensure delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses and/or geographic regions
- Resolve complex and varied issues, taking of an action and weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
- Escalate annomilies and issues in a timely manner
- Provide individual performance evaluation, career planning/development and input to compensation
**Qualifications**:
- 10+ years experience in a related role
- Experience in financial control, valuation or related discipline
- Financial products and valuation related knowledge
- Evidence of robust control focus
- Management experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree/Univesity degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
This role will cover Profit and Loss as well as Balance Sheet reporting and analysis for Rates and Currencies Mexico. It will require strong communication skills and teamwork across multiple locations and departments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversight of the Treasury P&L commentary linking results with market movements
- Oversight of accurate reporting of P&L Geography
- Ensure Reconcilement of MTD daily P&L figures from product control report to the general ledger and management reports
- Clearly document procedures followed
- Coordinate with other areas mapping of new products from the daily P&L report to books and records
- Coordinate with Technology the projects to connect the different front end systems to S2
- Oversight of daily P&L reporting as well as balance sheet analysis and reporting
- Represent Product Control on NPAC, CPAC and other new product Committees
**Requirements**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate and present effectively to management of Finance, Business, and Audit.
- Extensive experience across Product Control and Finance processes including FAS 133/ASC 815 Hedges programs
- Strong product knowledge, including securities and derivatives
- Current knowledge of USGAAP for Treasury related products
- A proven track record of coordinating and working in teams and an ability to influence initiatives to achieve the optimal outcome
- A proven knowledge in Debt securities, IR, FX, and Commodities Derivatives
- A control focused mind-set with strong capabilities for designing and implementing efficient processes with enhanced controls
- For this position it is required to solve problems that require careful analysis, diagnosis and interpretation in order to develop alternative solutions.
- Experience managing teams
- 10+ years of experience with Product Control related functions including Daily P&L Reporting, Balance Sheet Analysis and FAS 133/ASC 815 hedge accounting
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in any finance, economics, engineering or accounting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment;
- An ability to influence stakeholders and generate support in a matrix reporting environment for key initiatives;
- Understand balance sheet management concepts
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
