Primary RPL, NPS, and U.S. Export License SME for Portals - AMS

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

**_ Management Level Definition:_**

**_ In a typical day as an RPL and NPS SME for Portals, you would... _**
- Serve as a Primary Restricted Party List (RPL) SME in AMS for RPL hits from HPE portals where COT requires assistance to determine (1) whether it is a real match or (2) the steps required to approve/clear the RPL hit.
- Serve as a Primary Non-Proliferation Screening (NPS) SME in AMS for hits from HPE portals where COT requires assistance to determine the steps required to approve access and/or download.
- Serve as a Primary Incident Manager in AMS for Portals - responsible for end-to-end incident management for portal compliance incidents and other incidents, as needed
- This person will initially serve as the primary RPL and NPS SME for portals during the AMS timezones. They will have a peer that is the primary RPL and NPS SME for portals during the APJ timezones.
- The portal environment is an online environment and requires close partnership and fast response times to close inquiries from COT.
- Contributes to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations.
- Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
- Mentors junior-level staff and establishes guidelines for the mentorship programs.
- This is an Edge position - expectation that the individual is in the office collaborating F2F with COT 1-2 days per week

- First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in a customs/global trade function.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Excellent internal and external relationship management skills.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
- Very Strong project management skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies.
- Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
- Excellent understanding of national and international trade requirements to align customs/trade function with business objectives.
- Strong leadership skills including team-building and conflict resolution and management.
- Excellent understanding in developing and managing a trade compliance program.
