Injection Mechanic

Injection Mechanic ensures that the production machinery and equipment are operating optimally at all times.
**Essential Functions**
- Prevent, repair and fix plant machinery and equipment failures.
- Be knowledgeable and involved with the utility, injection, blow molding, filling, labeling and palletizing areas.
- Develop operational and equipment failure analysis skills.
- Generate root cause analysis to identify potential and recurring problems in machinery and equipment.
- Innovate equipment maintenance processes.
- Maintain and care for the product quality process.
- Communicate any problems, deviations and/or abnormalities with equipment.
- Implement high safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices within the plant.
- Ensure that food safety practices and any applicable SQF System requirements are maintained.
- Communicate any deviations, problems and/or abnormalities with equipment, processes and products.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum Qualifications:

- 2 Years - Experience in maintenance and/or manufacturing
- 2 Years - Experience in electromechanical equipment and/or automation
- 2 Years - Experience managing people/projects

- Preferred Qualifications:

- 4 Years - Experience in maintenance and/or manufacturing
- 4 Years - Experience working in electromechanical equipment and/or automation
- 4 Years - Experience managing people/projects

**Competencies**
- Robust knowledge of injection molding machine operation and defect correction.
- Robust knowledge of mold changes and adjustments.
- Knowledge of Pet resin.
- Ability to work under pressure in complex environments.
- Identification and solution of general and specific machine problems.
- Knowledge of peripheral equipment.
- Knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics.
- Handling of forklifts and overhead cranes.
