Textile Chemical Engineer

a hands-on, self-motivated, committed team player who excels in communication, exhibits strong record-keeping and attention to detail and can work in a fast paced environment is passionate about working with dyes and developing formulas with Eco and chemical dyes to achieve the full range of colours for the felted wool hoods and capelines for the company hat industry customers.

Reports directly to the Manager of Production.

Responsible for developing all the colours for the company wool felt hood and capelins product lines ensuring they meet customer expectations.

will learn how to process the wool fabric through all of the factory manufacturing stations and learn the characteristics of the dyes on felted wool hoods and capelines

will develop and maintain accurate records of dye formulas all data, procedures, and specifications to ensure colour is perfectly replicated for orders and quality is controlled and will recommend and implement changes to existing dye colour formulas and processes to achieve the specific quality colours in demand by our customers

will develop, implement and support improvement initiatives in dye colours and manufacturing processes

will ensure resource availability and documentation of all processes and will monitor and troubleshoot production processes to identify and resolve problems

will collaborate with cross-functional factory teams to ensure efficient and effective dye process development and implementation
