Mexico City, Mexico- Editorial and Publishing- We are Netflix’s Social Marketing team. A team of creatives, social media strategists, editors, content producers, and meme enthusiasts; moreover, we’re huge fans of entertainment. We’re creating a whole new approach to talking about entertainment. Our mission is to build awareness and excitement for our titles as we grow the most influential entertainment brand in the region. We listen to our fans and communities to understand shared passions and create insights for our fans to discover new shows, movies, and talent. Simply, we want our fans to fall more deeply in love with something they’ve already watched. In this team, you’ll create conversations about Netflix by bringing our content to the local social zeitgeist through best-in-class creative.

The Role (what we look for in you):

- We’re looking for a highly driven, self-motivated person who breathes and lives online/digital pop culture and is overly passionate and curious about entertainment. Be ready to always be on top of everything social-media-related, always driven to learn and test new things. We’re looking for someone with a natural ability to develop and tell engaging stories through our channel. We generate conversation; we want to excite everyone about our content through these conversations.

This position reports to the Mexico Social Marketing Director, and the scope of this position focuses on generating conversations about our titles, talent and brand. This position is based in Mexico City.

**Responsibilities**:

- Champion our titles on Social and create conversation about our titles, talent, and brand.
- Expand and construct the social voice of Netflix on our social channels (local and regional) while understanding and impacting culture and connecting with our fans through conversation.
- Advance and execute long-term social strategies to move Netflix where our fans are: from WhatsApp, Dischord, Facebook Groups or Twitch, podcasts, music, and more.
- Foster new content ideas and create significant stunts to generate conversations around our films and series.
- Meet ambitious growth goals without compromising creative integrity.
- Lead teams of freelancers, writers, producers, or agencies. We need people skills.
- Advocate for the different audiences of Netflix by working cross-functionally with stakeholders of a given project.
- Build and manage budgets.
- Flourish as part of a unique team where teamwork, transparency, and candid feedback are expected.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in entertainment media (social marketing or editorial).
- Thorough understanding of the social media landscape and comprehensive expertise in creating engaging and shareable pieces of content.
- A compelling communicator in written and spoken Spanish, supported by good comprehension and articulation in English.
- Ability to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.
- Ability to create creative insights from social listening reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to define and evaluate wins and losses.
- Hands-on experience building and managing fan communities.
- Expertise working directly with talent and talent representation in meetings and on shoots/sets. You’ll present our social marketing plans to show-runners, producers, talent, and executives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working directly with talent and talent representation in meetings and recordings.
- Skilled in pitching/ presenting with the ability to read the room.
- High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts of work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Any applicant for this position should read and take the Netflix culture seriously.
- Familiarity with video production (willingness to learn these skills fast if needed).
