Lammps Simulation Scientist

We are looking for a research-oriented individual to join in our mission to develop the next generation of systems that accelerate materials discovery and polymer manufacturing. The role is a part of our Simulation Scientist team in the R&D organization based in Mexico (Guadalajara).

In This Role You Will
- Collaborate cross-functionally with **Simulations**, Data Engineering and Software development teams.
- Develop new approaches to merge **Chemistry-based models** with Machine Learning.
- Develop techniques to fuse and leverage **simulated and experimental polymeric** datasets.
- Develop project objectives based on **client needs.**
- Written **planning** of project activities, sequences of events, dependencies and duration of tasks required to complete the project.
- Document and present **progress of activities**.
- Minimum Qualifications
- MSc. Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Molecular Dynamics.
- Hands-on experience and strong fundamentals with LAMMPS simulation software. --Extensive experience working with Linux.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
- Fundamental understanding of computational material simulations (e.g. density functional theory)
- A high degree of autonomy and independence
- Experience with materials discovery and selection
