Systems Architect

**Location: Guadalupe, N.L.**

BASIC OBJECTIVE

As a member of IT organization, this position has the responsibility to participate in the solution architecture, functional design, testing, deployment and support of Kinaxis platform (Rapid Response).

General Objective: Assist business users with and lead sections of the implementation and maintenance of Kinaxis platform solutions. Capture/validate business requirements through workshops, discovery sessions. Create software solutions through design and/or configuration. Propose and present designs, prepare systems and program specifications, prepare test criteria and perform tests. Assist in developing and monitoring policies, procedures, and standard documentation. Provide technical support to users. Capable of participating in multiple concurrent projects. Work extensively with business end users, Superusers, vendors, and software providers. Participate in discussions with all management levels and project leaders to determine system objectives and solutions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Skills:
Provide spirited, positive leadership of systems solution design.Challenge obsolete practices; question accepted truths.Develop practical systems scope that enhances the business function.Control thescope, resources, and quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives when given specific tasks or minor projects.

Provide analysis, counsel, and direction to management and personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions, as well as assure efficient operation of existing systems and programs.Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.

Assist or solely direct, schedule, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts of IT resources and vendor personnel assigned to a specific systems project.

Actively engage in project activities and provide inputs to leaders to drive successful delivery of the project,including general design review, test plan, system and program tactics and methods, system controls, procedures, documentation, and system implementation plan.

Comply with Systems Development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules. Prepare and publish systems project status reports.

Develop detail system and program specifications.Develop system documentation and user procedures.Prepare test data.Coordinate/perform system and program testing.Coordinate/perform system and program implementation and modification.Research systems and programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test, and implement detailed solutions.

Participate in deep-dive business requirement discovery sessions and develop integration requirement specifications. Perform data integration and ETL configurations - mapping, loading, transforming and validating data required to support business needs.Lead data management and integration related activities including validation and testing of the solution.

Act as the day-to-day operational administrator of the Rapid Response Application during and after the implementation.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Skills/Requirements**

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Supply Chain, or related field required.

A minimum 7 years of experiences in business software consulting, ideally in supply chain.

Required to have at least 2 full life cycle Kinaxis Rapid Response platform solution implementation. Experience with other supply chain planning solutions like SAP APO/IBP, JDA is a plus.

Kinaxis Rapid Response certification in the role of Contributor, Author, or Admin preferred.

Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, OWB, SSIS, SAP Data Services etc.

Experience with connection functionality to SAP (through BAPI / RFC), QAD, databases, files, web, SOAP.

Experience extracting data from enterprise class ERP systems including SAP, QAD etc.

Experience working with relational databases and java script.

Understanding of the software deployment life cycle; including business requirements definition, review of functional specifications, development of test plans, testing, user training, and deployment.

Good interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
