**Perimeter of Responsibilities**:
The OPC officer coordinates the entity´s Operational and Permanent Control framework related to all operational risks front-to-back and end-to-end, including Fraud, Third Party, Conduct, Compliance, Regulatory and other risk types in collaboration with other independent control functions and in
compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines, At BNP Paribas Mexico, the OPC officer will coordinate other OPC officers transversely in order to insure the proper end-to-end control of the businesses of Global Markets, Treasury and Fund Administration.
In order to be successful in this role, the individual will need to demonstrate aptitudes in acting as a reliable consultant all levels of Securities Services Americas. The individual will also need to demonstrate aptitudes in challenging decisions taken by their management and demonstrate confidence to defend their position.
An OPC officer’s advisory role consists of:

- anticipating risks, obstacles, and devising plans to manage them;
- effectively communicating and partnering well with others to accomplish goals;
- understanding and translating strategies in to specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables

An OPC officer must ensure that the operational/functional/client development managers have skilfully identified their risks:

- by advising them in the implementation and maintenance of a risk assessment and in the formalization of it according to the procedures;
- by checking that managers have identified new risk incurred by new products, new processes, significant organizational changes or acquisitions;
- by ensuring operations formalizes the controls that mitigate identified risks

An OPC officer must ensure that managers have identified and quantified their main Operational risks

An OPC officer is responsible for:

- adapting Risk ORC/ OPC Group and CIB procedures to the local specificities when necessary;

An OPC officer must ensure that all incidents are escalated, reported in the relevant databases and analysed in a timely and comprehensive manner according to procedure.

An OPC officer must:

- Collaborate with managers to implement the appropriate local operational and anti-fraud control plans (1st line of defence);
- ensure the follow up of the action plans when deficiencies are identified;
- track recommendations and permanent control actions;
- follow up with people in charge of implementation, identify when escalation is required

An OPC officer:

- contributes to the preparation of the reporting for the CORE committee;
- contributes to the reporting to the Global OPC team;
- represents their perimeter in North America OPC team calls, monthly meetings and CORE committee;
- assist operations with Inspection Générale and regulator interviews;
- takes ownership of the implementation of any OPC related project (in their perimeter)

**Minimum Required Qualifications**:

- 6+ years of experience in Corporate and Institutional Banking, preferably in Fund Administration and Accounting
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Services with a background in Audit, Advisory Services, Operational Risk or Controls
- Must be fluent in Spanish, English
