Mechanical Inspector of the Tuxpan Landfall.

This position provides a key role to ensure the safety, quality, cost, and schedule of our project.

This position will be based in Tuxpan, Veracruz.

**Responsibilities**:

- Report to the Construction Manager and Chief Inspector.
- Ensure Company specifications and approved project specific documentation are received prior to commencing inspection activities.
- Review and understand applicable inspection roles, responsibilities, qualifications, and minimum training requirements (e.g., craft-specific, safety and environmental documents) before beginning work.
- Maintain lines of communication with key stakeholders as appropriate, including, but not limited to: Construction Manager, Chief Inspector and/or Contractor.
- Ensure that the Contractor immediately reports all incidents to appropriate project personnel and required authorities when appropriate.
- Comply with applicable labor laws in the jurisdiction where the work is performed, Company Policies and Procedures, and the applicable Project Specific Security Plan or Site-Specific Security Plan (PSSP/SSSP).
- Complete inspection reports (e.g., materials, labor, areas, inspection stations inspected) for activities in accordance with project requirements.
- Verify that the contractor performs tests or measurements as appropriate, and in accordance with an approved ITP.
- Verify that the equipment and instruments used by the contractor are correct and that only test equipment calibrated on site is used, with complete records in accordance with the manufacturer´s specifications or requirements.
- Participate in or complete a site safety risk assessment (e.g., JSA Job Safety Analysis) prior to beginning work.
- Perform reports according to the templates and / or platforms provided for the project.
- Provide expertise in resolving issues that may arise during construction activities.
- Review project design constructability
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to review plans, drawings, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Other tasks as required.

Minimum qualifications
- Qualified Engineer.
- 5 years of experience in Pipe and welding Inspection working on EPC projects with Micro tunnels and Gas Pipeline.
- Full management of construction drawings.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of construction practices/documents.
- Leader in promoting safe work practices and positive attitudes and behaviors.
- Ability to make assertive decisions.
- Demonstrated communication skills (verbal/written) in both Spanish/English are desirable.
- Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Ability to fully use MS Office software.
- Knowledge with cathodic protection.
- Full manage of standards (NRF, NACE, API 6D, etc.), codes (AWS, ASME B31.8, etc.), construction and mechanical material specifications (ASTM, etc.).
- Teamwork and constructive relationship with colleagues and project leaders.
- Solid communication with the leaders to give timely follow-up and comply with the procedures and goals of the Project.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently with mínimal supervision.

Preferred qualifications
- Related courses and training may be considered.
- Desirable CWI certification.
- Desirable NACE certification.
