Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.- Lead the requirements gathering process- Understand the business objectives and challenges of our customers to organize valuable capabilities in a product- Translate business needs and design requirements into system solutions- Collaborate with the Product Owner and the team in translating business needs and design requirements into system solutions- Act as a proxy Product Owner, as needed- Ensure business and functional requirements are captured and organized- Incorporate feedback from customers, end users, and key stakeholders to continually increase value for our customers-
- Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder interviews, and focus groups- Recommend new features or improvements to features that return value to customers and internal teams- Identify functional gaps in the BA process and provide solutions- Author user stories and define acceptance criteria- Create functional specifications, user scenarios, and process flow diagrams- Provide analysis and support to product owners, designers, web developers, engineers, scrum masters, and quality assurance teams in working to improve our platform in the industrial software space- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure a standard level of requirement understanding

Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications- Demonstrates advanced to fluent proficiency English reading, speaking, and writing- Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience- Experience as a business analyst or product owner- 6-9 years of experience working in the industrial software industry, online software development, or systems integration consulting firm or a minimum of 6 years of experience working on teams that developed new software products-
- Expert written and oral communications skills- Must be extremely organized, have a high attention to detail, and capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile development cycles and working with design teams-
- Ability to immerse oneself in an industrial software market, and quickly add value to a project- Experience and demonstrated skill in organizing and articulating complex technology concepts- Ability to simplify and standardize complex concepts and processes- Passion for solving problems, executing on ideas, and delivering tangible solutions- Ability to lead the design and implementation of new technology across the enterprise- Motivated and works independently, able to strategically define what BA deliverables would best support a project- Ability to mentor other Business Analysts-
- Background in Information Technology- Good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, procedures, and a broad understanding of Caterpillar’s organization
