Mid-level drafting position

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences that are required for entry into this job include

the following:

- Intermediate/Advanced CAD skills
- Learning or has basic knowledge of specialized CAD software such as Civil 3D, Plant 3D and/or CADWorx.
- Basic/Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, civil, structural, and/or electrical drafting principles.
- Knowledge of company/client design standards (or ability to understand quickly).
- Strong algebraic skills required to perform calculations.
- Ability to effectively communicate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties performed in this position include the following:

- Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role with mínimal oversight,
- occasionally directed in complex tasks.
- Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents using CAD software, with
- mínimal oversight, or complex software with moderate oversight.
- Reviews drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Collaborates with engineers to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD drawings.
- Coordinates and consults with engineers or designers to complete projects.
- Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function, in both drafting skills and project design understanding.
- Assists other drafters in learning CAD skills, standards, or procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 2 - 4 years in Energy Industry related field (or equivalent experience in a relatable drafting role
- not directly in the Energy Industry
- Drafting Certificate or Related Design Degree (BS, BA)
