**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure with the area supervisor that personnel resources are at optimum levels of quantity and quality in accordance with engineering standards to meet planned production goals.-
- Organize the preventive maintenance processes of the equipment ensuring that they are in optimal condition to give continuity to the operation and meet the production goals.-
- Ensure manufacturing processes are operating to meet FDA regulatory standards as well as Baxter quality requirements (Identification, Line Clearence, Testing, Training, etc.).-
- Organize kaizen teams using Lean Manufacturing (BOS) methodology to improve bottleneck processes and meet established design rates.-
- Ensure compliance with safety/health/environmental regulations in each of the applicable stations or work centers and stop the process when there is a risk to the health and integrity of the employees.-
- Promote the value of teamwork with support departments to generate systemic actions to resolve abnormal performance metrics.-
- Organize maintenance planning (corrective/preventive/predictive) with area maintenance technicians.-
- Ensure together with materials planning that weekly production plans comply with the manufacturing capacities of the production lines and execute the necessary recovery plans in a timely manner.-
- Coordinate the manufacturing engineers to focus their priorities to improve the performance of their lines based on the established daily performance metrics (People-Quality-Delivery-Cost) and agree on the corresponding diagnostics.-
- Lead and follow up process improvement meetings with AMEs on a monthly basis to establish actions to improve or correct Quality - Product - Process (NCMRs/Trendings/CAPAS).-
- Prioritize and support TCO/VIP/NPI Projects in conjunction with AMEs to manage optimal resource and workload distribution based on execution priorities.-
- Is the primary contact with sustainment engineering to manage engineering projects efficiently and based on AMEs workload.-
- Monitor and analyze daily area performance metrics and coordinate with supervision remediation actions as needed and require support primarily from AMEs and/or support departments.-
- Ensure compliance with the annual budget agreed with your team.-
- Promote Baxter's values and behaviors to their team and act accordingly when deviations are detected.Coordinate with the Baxter plant continuous improvement engineer, the BOS Pillars Implementation strategy (VSM/5s/DM/PS/PC).-
- Mentor for the use/understanding/implementation of BEREADY/5s Regulatory and Improvement systems/Area Metrics/Visual Management/Level2.-
- Promotes Baxter core values and behaviors.**EDUCATION**:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of work experience and education in a specific technical discipline.-
- Basic Knowledge and understanding of Finance Acumen.-
- Lean and Continuous Improvement Education (Kaizen and Problem-Solving Techniques education).-
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).**EXPERIENCE**:

- 4-7 years of experience in related field.- Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.-
- Experience in Line Transferring - Medical related.-
- Knowledge and experience in Operational Excellence Environment.-
- JDE computer enterprise system literate.-
- Experience in a medical company 13485 and ISO.**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Ability to manage complete project cycle from concept to actual implementation.
- Hands-on leadership, with ability to engage and have trust of technicians.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Proven effectiveness as a cross functional team member as well as in leader roles.
- Excellent analytical decision making and problem-solving skills.
