Principal Accountabilites:

- Responsible for processing/managing purchase orders and contracts, lead-time reduction, resolving chronic supplier delivery issues, and resolving discrepant material issues.
- Ensure suppliers are paid within terms, monitor price, cost, Intellectual Property and conformance to legal agreements.
- Provides leadership for sourcing, logistics and resource management decisions working closely with other functional disciplines within the Customer Service, PSO, and TMO organizations.
- Demonstrates leadership in recognizing the potential for cost and inventory reductions, and quality improvements.
- Maintain system data and documentation that supports the purchasing processes, SOX, and ISO.
- Maintain data accuracy in the BAAN system (e.g., ensure cost information accuracy, part set-up, lot sizes, etc).
- Reviews and reports supplier delivery performance
- Participates on Six Sigma project teams and Supplier Improvement projects

Qualifications:

- Requires Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) preferably in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing Technology with minimum 3 years experience in related professional field
- Experience with technical buying in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills in English is required
- Must have Computer literacy skills in: MS Office (especially Excel), Visio, MS Project, and BAAN - required
- Knowledge of Baan and Windchill (ERP and PDM) - preferred
- Experience in procuring Electrical/electronic commodities - preferred
- APICS CPIM or CSCP Certification is preferred
- Six Sigma experience or awareness is preferred
