We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, and driven HR Business Partner to work alongside a talented regional HR team to support our business in LATAM North to achieve our ambitious growth plans by focusing on our most important asset, our people.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for supporting the end-to-end HR function in Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and Colombia, as well as deploying regional and global led programs, including recruitment, talent management, HR operations, compensation, and benefits. With support and collaboration from regional centers of excellence, this role will identify and drive key priorities to engage and develop our employees, as well as position Fugro as an employer of choice in LATAM North.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with key local and regional stakeholders, both in the business and HR, maintaining a focus on operations and process improvement and maintaining the highest degree of integrity.- Directly support the country managers and local management team in strategic people matters, change management, and organizational effectiveness needs.-
- Oversee day-to-day support for employees and managers on matters including hiring needs, recruitment, pre-hire processes, onboarding, data updates, and internal policy questions. Role scope does not include payroll.- Works alongside the local management team in ensuring efficiency in organizational design, and supports the talent planning process, succession planning, and key talent development.- Ensure compliance with company and each country's HR policies, laws, and best practices.- Partner in owning Workday system transactions, updates, and data review. Work with management to advise on personnel changes and effect those changes using proper internal processes.- Drives diversity, inclusion, and engagement initiatives in assigned countries.- Partner with the Head of HR for Americas, country HR Managers, and COE Leaders on key projects and initiatives.- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.- 8+ years of work experience in roles of increased complexity.- Proven experience managing multiple aspects of the Human Resources function.- Proven experience in organizational effectiveness work, including business transformation and scale-up.- Strategic mindset and proactive approach in business partnering.- Excellent communication skills, with oral and written fluency in English.- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.- Ability to drive change.- Excellent analytical, problem-solving solving and critical-thinking skills.- Process improvement oriented.- Experience with Workday is a plus.
