**Job Summary**
The Specialist will closely work with all areas of the General Ledger & Closing organization as well as key internal customers such as Controllership, Treasury, Tax Operation, E&BS and Projects. He/she is responsible for general accounting requests, performs and reports on account reconciliations, ensures proper and accurate accounting and supports internal & external audits, facilitate & coordinate month end closing process.
**How You Can Be the Impact**
- Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and customers such as growth projects, payroll, Tax Operation, Treasury, Other Global Financial Organization like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable.
- Analysis of various financial data to determine journal entry.
- Facilitate and coordinate month end closing process and other team activities.
- Perform revenue recognition accounting.
- Perform reconciliation of set of balance sheet accounts, review & approve reconciliation of others.
- Operate master data governance tool interact with various finance users, ensuring master data quality.
- Provide support as needed with internal and external audit requests.
- Projects: automation & standardize the process, GRC, participate in cross-functional testing, and other projects.
- Maintain Governance on journal entries ensuring proper back up is in place, manual journal entry approval is in place.
- Support compliance, financial, internal and quality audits
- Support Controllership reviews and reporting package analysis.
- Leading the coordination, communication and interaction with regional Corporate Finance and cross-functional team.
**What Matters to SABIC**
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. A professional degree like CPA or Master Degree is preferred.
- 7-9 years of relevant experience of working in Finance and accounting area
- Knowledge of accounting principles as well as IFRS rules
- Knowledge and experience in SAP, FICO modules GL, PCA.
- Hands-on experience with office productivity tools such Word, PPT, and Outlook. Advance Excel skills: Pivot, Lookup, and other advance excel skills.
**Eligibility Requirements**
- You must be 18 years or older
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work for SABIC in the Mexico on a full-time basis.
**Work Availability**
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday - Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
