Nuestro segmento de comunicaciones ópticas acaba de evolucionar de ser un fabricante de fibra óptica y cable, hardware y equipos para convertirse en un proveedor integral de soluciones ópticas líder en la industria, abarcando la industria de comunicaciones más amplia. Este segmento se clasifica en dos grupos de productos principales: red de operador y red empresarial. El grupo de productos de red empresarial consta principalmente de redes de comunicación por fibra óptica dirigidas a negocios, gobiernos y personas para uso propio.

**Finance Analyst**

**Scope of Position**

Ensures entity compliance with local regulations, GAAP accounting principles and Corning policies and procedures. Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial analysis and control. Participates in the plant closing process and ensures reporting is timely and accurate. Responsible for preparation of reconciliations and the analysis of expenses to ensure financial accuracy. Responsible for key financial and internal control processes such as SOX documentation updates and inventory and asset physicals.

**Day to Day Responsibilities**
- Participates in the period closing process; including preparation and posting of journal entries, variance analysis, and accuracy of the general ledger
- Supports compliance with internal and external controls, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, GAAP accounting principles, and Corning policies and procedures
- Assists Controller with completion of the financial analysis and ad-hoc reporting
- Participates in monitoring capital spend, processes asset capitalizations, and maintains accuracy of fixed asset ledger
- May participate on updates to plant standard costs, working with Engineering and Operations to ensure accurate usage rates and labor hours
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations and quarterly reporting packages
- Assists Controller with preparation of the annual budget and operating forecast
- Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals.
- Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Manufacturing and/or Cost Accounting experience preferred
- Basic understanding of US GAAP

**Required Skills**:

- Bilingual English - Spanish
- Strong financial and accounting background
- Understanding of financial controls
- Ability to be comfortable initiating cross-functional communication and coordination, including plant leadership
- Proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint
