Network Technician

The Organization, Global Operational Services (GOPS) is a unit created to deliver business value to Essity and its’ customers by driving group wide operational efficiencies through end-to-end services and solutions. GOPS includes Sourcing, Supply Chain Development, Global Business Services, IT Strategy & Business Technology and IT Services. GOPS is currently seeking a Network Technician/Infrastructure Developer to support global manufacturing with a focus on North and Latin America manufacturing sites. This position can be located at any Essity office or manufacturing site in Latin or North America.

**About the Role**

In this position you will play a key role in working towards securing our manufacturing sites for the next wave of digitalization. As network connectivity is becoming more critical for the operations of our manufacturing processes, we need to ensure that the communication is secure and performing well.

As Global Manufacturing & Health Medical Solutions (HMS) have significant Digitalization ambitions we believe that gathering the existing talent as well as growing more inside one team in IT will be crucial to ensure we stay competitive and deliver solutions that works properly end-to-end from the user to the back-end systems.

**What you will do**

You will from day one be part of the Global Supply Chain IT Infrastructure team and belong to Network & Security Services together with 4 other colleagues.

The main tasks for the near future will be focused on IT/OT Network segmentation as well as LAN Refresh. The role will not be limited to these tasks and areas, but all activities should be linked to Network and Security Services for our Manufacturing locations. Furthermore, you will in this role:

- Design, implement and maintain infrastructure for both development and operations environments in specific area;
- Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation;
- Cooperate with other developers to make sure that the infrastructure meets requirements and performance goals;
- Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed and formally documented according to Essity IT standards;
- Develop and enhance automated processes to release new solutions into the live environment;
- Maintain, support and repair solutions to keep them performing in accordance with technical and functional specification Contribute to finding and implementing effective solutions in a matrix organization.

**What you need**
- University Degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education;
- Two (2) plus years of relevant experience;
- Experience working with Network & Firewalls;
- Proven experience setting up and managing networks for manufacturing locations;
- Experience with next-gen Palo Alto firewalls is an advantage but not a requirement;
- Ability to travel if needed.
