Ecommerce Bookkeeper

Tall Oak Advisors is a fully remote bookkeeping, tax, and CFO service provider for ecommerce sellers. Our team is based all over the world. We are currently seeking to add more full time Bookkeepers to our top tier bookkeeping team.
- MISSION-
- The Bookkeeper, with the oversight of the Team Lead and Accounting Director, is a valuable contributor to TOA's focus on "empowering success through financial wisdom" for each of our clients. By ensuring accurate records and timely turnaround times, the Bookkeeper understands that every financial entry is a building block in the grand design of our clients' success stories.
- OUTCOMES-
- Demonstrate mastery of the entire bookkeeping process
- Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for assigned clients, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity
- Efficiently manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Execute timely and error-free bookkeeping processing
- Track and categorize expenses accurately

Take ownership of and responsibility for a full time schedule
- Show up and work diligently for 40 hours per week (broken up into five 8 hour shifts)
- While working within those timeframes, dedicated attention and responsiveness is your main priority

See to it that all monthly projects in your portfolio are wrapped up and financials sent out by the 20th
- Take ownership of the quoted monthly deadline of having 100% of client financials (that aren't delayed by unresponsive clients) out by the 20th of each month
- Utilize tracking systems to ensure an accurate and continual pulse on the status of monthly projects are visible to teammates so that bottlenecks can be proactively addressed and kinks worked out before crunch time

Communicate with and support clients closely
- Use templated responses when they are available to ensure a consistent experience for all our clients

Adopt and master systems
- Demonstrate mastery of Financial Cents for project management and assist those on your team in doing the same
- Follow templated steps and complete tasks according to their due dates
- Accurately track time spent on every client and project
- Harness ClickUp for information storage
- Continuously follow the bookkeeping processes found in the Bookkeeping Playbook to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- COMPETENCIES-
- Relevant experience and expertise
- Has a bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent in a relevant field) and a minimum of 2 years of proven, successful work experience within a bookkeeping team, demonstrating proficiency in the bookkeeping cycle, preferably within the ecommerce space.

- Familiar with project management tools and navigating financial reports inside accounting software, and embodies the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.

- Can simultaneously manage tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines effectively in a remote work environment.

- Schedule based on local hours, the expectations are that you will work an average of 40 hours per week. Based on workloads, you may need to work more some weeks, which will be determined as needed.
