The Direct Sourcing and Procurement Specialist I will provide support to Category Managers with key tasks and activities related to Zebra’s Five Step Strategic Sourcing Methodology.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in monitoring commercial elements of manufacturing relationship(s).
- Validation and approval of all cost elements in quoted partner pricing.
- Management of quotes for existing product line extensions.
- Track partner(s) progress toward achieving value add reductions through various means, including support of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) objectives, challenging status quo, defining new solutions.
- Monitoring and reporting of partner(s) progress toward material cost reduction objectives.
- Ownership and management of all aspects of quarterly pricing process for assigned partners. Ability to make informed decisions for pricing inputs to establish quarterly pricing
- Responsible for management of variances. Work with data analyts to trend spend.
- Responsible for validation and approval of change orders for products impacting partner assignment.
- Build product knowledge of the Zebra products and bills of materials to inspire confidence in expertise.
- Maintain accountability, delivering against timelines and becoming a trusted advisor between Zebra and manufacturing partners.
- Initiation and organization of RFP process for new products sourcing and for competitive benchmarking.
- Ensure compliance with Zebra policies and Category Management directives with oversight from leadership
- Assist with system and process problem identification and resolution
- Manage the quarterly purchase price standards and submission of purchasing price books.
- Follow on receipt transactions to ensure they are in accordance with Zebra Standard Cost Procedure
- Enforce correct requisitioning procedures
- Uphold data validity and accuracy
- Support requests for reporting and analytics services
- Assist with providing data and reports from the procurement systems
- Maintain appropriate procurement records
- Support development of appropriate process documentation and user guides
- Keep suitable records and references related to all activities
- Assist with the establishment of internal contract records
- Eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and expertise in excel are critical for success in this role.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree required with a preference for
Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Supply
Chain, Engineering, or related; MBA, CPSM is a plus.
- 0-2 years of sourcing and procurement experience.
- Excellent professional communications (verbal and written)
with suppliers, stakeholders and management.
- Proven spend analytical skills including ability to drive data collection and analyses, interpret and draw conclusions, and effectively summarize results
- Resourcefulness gathering specific supply market research and intelligence that support making strategic sourcing business decisions
- Ability to problem solve with limited data and ambiguity
- Proven negotiations results from Strategic Sourcing process
/ methodology
- Established customer service skills, with an understanding of customer relationship building, communications and teamwork
- Self-disciplined and the ability to self-motivate and work successfully with a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated project management skills with a desire to learn and ability to work independently in a fast paced, changing environment\
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel),
presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint), Oracle iProcurement, Scout, and SpendHQ (or similar programs).
