**Job Description**:
The CoCounsel Engineering team of Thomson Reuters is tackling the $6 billion U.S. legal research market and advancing the cause of justice by empowering all attorneys to provide high-quality, efficient, and affordable representation to their clients. Our award winning research platform helps millions of users access and understand the law every month, and our AI-powered search tools are at the cutting edge of search technology.

**About the Role**
- Identify skill implementation patterns and developer pain points
- Develop reusable solutions for those patterns and alleviate those pain points

**About You**
- 5+ years professional software engineering experience
- You are proficient in Python, with recent professional experience in a production level software engineering environment
- You are familiar with type systems
- You are familiar with HTTP APIs, especially REST
- You have an eye for simple, pragmatic API design
- Low ego, intelligent, sympathetic and collaborative
- Understands that tech is a means to an end, particularly for building customer facing products
- Can communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences
- Nice to haves: Experience with SQL, Docker, Statically typed language (Java, C++ or Scala) & GCP or other cloud services like AWS
