As a Product Manager for Brightcove Video Core system, you will be based in our Boston, MA office, driving product development in and for a truly global environment. You will be expected to have in-depth knowledge of product management in a cloud computing environment and be able to collaborate with all parts of the organization as well as with our customers and partners to iron out requirements and strategies for your specific product area. On a daily basis, you will work closely with several highly skilled development teams. In this role you will have to rely heavily on your ability to communicate and to drive collaborative analysis.

**Responsibilities**
- Translating product vision, strategy and roadmap into product definition that can be communicated to engineering, QA and customer-facing functions.
- Work closely with product management, engineering leads and architects to ensure a deep understanding of product vision and priorities.
- Understand the vision of a product from the point of view of all customer stakeholders (system administrators, end users, operations management, etc).
- Interact with customers and end users of the product to learn details for feature/product definition and prioritization.
- Create epics, user stories and acceptance criteria from the business feature functionality presented by product management.
- Collaborate with customer care and product support teams to understand the support needs and issues.
- Prioritize, order and groom the product backlog, including working with Program Management to adjust stories as part of sprint planning.
- Manage the feature request process and keep an updated release plan for the products you cover.
- Giving feedback regarding the achievement of the sprint goal in the sprint review.
- Collaborate with other product owners, product management, engineering management and program management to improve product delivery practices.
- Define and measure delivery for meeting customer value propositions.

**Skills/Qualifications**
- Degree in computer science or other related field, or equivalent experience.
- Great understanding of the Internet and cloud computing.
- Technical fluency with the ability to speak credibly to both engineering teams and outside technical partners.
- Strong collaborator who is also sufficiently self-directed.
- Strong analytical skills to accurately define requirements that contribute to a robust platform - help expand the quality of our thinking.
- Comfortable working in a geographically distributed organization.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- 2+ years hands on experience managing all phases of product lifecycle in an agile development environment.
- 2+ years of Product management experience with large-scale customer-facing technology products.
- Proven enterprise software, Saas/B2B experience.
- Experience defining a customer value proposition and driving a business case for a product investment.
- Self-organized with expert ability to prioritize activities and manage deliverables to completion in a high-pressure environment.
- Passion for media technology and digital video a plus; desire to be part of the revolution that is taking place in redefining how digital video is being consumed.
