In our Global Vitesco NPM Purchasing team you will be responsible for carrying out purchasing activities in the category areas of Capital Investments & Engineering Solutions, with a medium to high degree of difficulty. You will contribute towards global initiatives which drive added value for Vitesco Technologies in terms of commercial, logístical and technical enhancements, while strengthening the relationships to strategic Business Partners (internal and external).

Area of activity will cover locations from Canada, United States and Mexico.

**Responsibilities**:

- Individual responsibility of an CI&ES Category for the development and implementation of the regional and global supplier strategy.
- Procurement of CI&ES for different locations / business units within Vitesco Technologies.
- Support the Regional Cluster Manager with the other categories within cluster Capital Investments & Engineering Solutions.
- Match the demand with the strategy and identify the right supplier panel along with the internal customers.
- Implementation and adaptation of global and regional sourcing strategies.
- Evaluation of contractual risks and consulting of the internal decision makers.
- Bring about the award decision as well as ensuring the necessary documents and auditable documentation of the relevant contract and sourcing documents.
- Evaluation, comparison and selection of strategic suppliers under various criteria, as well as identification of alternative suppliers.
- Evaluation of risk controlling results for existing and potential new suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits.
- Establish and maintain the relationship with the strategic suppliers.
- Functional leadership of the respective Category Purchaser within the Purchasing Matrix of Vitesco Technologies.
- Ensuring transparency of results by means of reporting and control of prescribed information and figures.
- Negotiates terms to guarantee the best conditions for acquisition of goods and services, by respecting procurement process, procedures and legal requirements.
- Contributes to the regularly checks of investment planning/approved budget for acquisitions in his/her area of responsibility.
- Clarifies technical and commercial requirements together with the requester and the supplier.
- Consults internal customers for information regarding provision of goods/services, purchasing constraints and process optimization in his/her area of responsibility. Participates in working groups. Plans and organizes regular meetings with internal key customers.
- Purchasing Cycle time: Processes Shopping Carts and Purchase Requisitions, creates and sends Purchase Orders to the suppliers.
- Order tracking: Ensures PO/contract tracking, by maintaining permanent contact with the suppliers and the requesters and by taking corrective measures to guarantee supplies in due date.
- Prepares and concludes contracts by respecting procurement process, procedures and legal requirements.
- Prepares standard reports to make results transparent and control purchasing activities on a results-oriented basis.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics or comparable.
- At least 5 + years of professional experience within Purchasing; knowledgeable in Capital Investments preferable.
- Negotiation Skills.
- Experience in the automotive industry desirable.
- Reliable knowledge of the MS Office programs and SAP R / 3 basic knowledge.
- English - business fluent (written and spoken).
- Independent, structured and analytical way of working.
- Willingness to travel.
- Assertiveness, team spirit and drive, flexibility.
- Confident manner.
- Intercultural competences and experienced in an international business environment.
