The Accountant II is responsible for accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information in a shared services environment

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist in month end close and reporting process
- Review ledger accounts, recommend and prepare adjusting journal entries
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Prepare, record and analyze accounting transactions
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting records
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and procedures to improve efficiency of the month/quarter close process
- Assist with internal control evaluations
- Participate in the documentation and execution of accounting projects
- Support various operational activities, audit deliverables, ad hoc projects or analyses as requested
- Interact daily with accounting team and internal customers
- Provide mentorship to team members

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent education

**Experience**: Typically, 2-5 years of accounting experience

**Technical Abilities**: Technologically savvy with proficiency in MS Office Suite and working with ERP, Accounting and Reporting software; experience with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Accounting Software and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a plus.
