**Title**:Quality Engineer

**Primary Location**:Mexico (MX) - Coahuila IJD CRA

**Function**:Quality Engineering

- Supervise day-to-day activities and manage workflows
- Facilitate Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA’s), part inspections, and other quality processes
- Support improvement projects through mistake proofing parts in PDP program
- Provide build support by leading weld tryout inspection planning and execution
- Lead containment and yard program efforts of defect identification during PDP builds
- Support cross-functional alignment across the factory on welding quality plans and requirements
- Complete workflows to include QPL assignments, DPAR, PFMEA and Weld Rank
- Prepare process and assembly control plans
- Prepare Non Conformance Corrective Actions (NCCA) and Temporary Deviations as needed

**What skills you need**:
- 3 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, or quality
- Experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), weld symbols, product models (Creo), and welding standards
- Experience with quality processes such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis and Statistics
- Ability to work independently and guide projects through to completion
- Demonstrated ability to work on cross functional teams
- Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis

**What makes you stand out**:

- Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- 1 or more years in a quality engineering planning role (PDP)
- Team leadership and mentoring experience, preferably in a union environment
- Knowledge of weld technology developments, processes, and practices
- Project management experience
- Experience in cross functional roles such as supplier quality, production supervision, manufacturing engineering, or design
- Experience using advanced quality tools such as Design of Experiments and Regression Analysis
- Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

**Education**:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
